This is the third edition of this basic fixed prosthodontics reference textbook. Faithful to its beginnings, it contains schematic drawings rather than photographs to graphically illustrate concepts. The purpose is to serve as an introduction to the area of restorative dentistry dealing with fixed partial dentures and cast metal, metal ceramic, and all ceramic restorations. It is meant to provide the background knowledge needed by the novice as well as be a refresher for the practitioner or graduate student. The book is primarily meant for dental students, and secondarily for graduate residents. The content is divided into 28 chapters covering background knowledge of a multitude of aspects pertinent to fixed prosthodontics.
